Hi, I am Denisa Collins, I am a qualified and accredited counsellor/psychotherapist based in Kent.

I speak fluently in English, Slovak and Czech.

I use Pluralistic Therapeutic approach, which focuses on the client's needs and preferences. It's based on the idea that each client is unique and may benefit from different methods at different times.

I like working creatively, whether is to use Russian dolls, working with sticks or rocks, or whatever you bring to the room (ie. your artwork or something you created yourself and would like to use in your session)

My aim is to be alongside you on your journey and in your struggles offering support and insights as to why you are probably feeling the way you do, I am passionate about empowering you to make your own decisions, realise your worth and live a life that feels authentic to you.

My approach as a counsellor is being honest, non-judgmental and fully accepting whilst being fully integrated in the relationship allowing you as the client to lead and set the pace. I aim to offer these conditions as best as I can during our relationship.

Some of my clients struggle with a particular harsh 'inner critic' and are full of self-doubt, stuck in negative thought patterns, perfectionists, people pleasers who struggle to say no to others, those who find it hard to set boundaries and people who tend to put on a brave face to the outside world whilst feeling very different inside. This is exhausting for them and can interfere with all their relationships especially one’s with themselves.

Experience:

I have experience of supporting survivors of sexual abuse and rape in Kent, I also have experience of working with people who have a sight impairment, people who have personality disorder and people living with long term health conditions.
